Choose the Right Plant Size First

Size matters more than people think. Even a realistic artificial plant will look wrong if it is too small for the spot or too large for the furniture around it.

Tiny plants are one of the most common mistakes. A bunch of little faux plants scattered around a room often reads as filler. They do not anchor anything, and they can make a space feel busy fast.

A good rule is this: the plant should feel proportional to the furniture near it. If it disappears, it is too small. If it dominates the area and creates tension, it is too big.

Mix With Real Florals

Mix faux stems and flowers with real flowers to add texture to your arrangements. It will help liven up your vase in a very real way. Keep in mind that real flowers rarely stand straight up; they tend to have slight curves in their stems. Curve the stems of your faux flowers to stand them like real flowers.

Tip!

If you are using a clear or glass vase for faux florals, add water. It will help make them look more realistic. Cut the metal ends off of the stems to keep them from being seen. If you cannot cut them off, apply clear nail polish over the metal end, letting it dry completely. It will help keep rust marks from forming on your glass vase.

Place Them in Natural Light

Plants and flowers need a lot of sunlight and TLC to thrive. An easy way to pass off your faux plant as real is by putting them in areas of your home where you would naturally put a real plant. Opt for an area near a window or doorway because those areas tend to get more sunlight.

Put Them Outside

Try putting your faux plants outside to liven up your patio or porch area. You’ll have the same greenery without all the work involved. Opt for something large, like a potted tree, to stick in the corner for a bold look.

Dust Often

Faux plants, just like decor, can build up dust and dirt over time. Dust your plants and flowers regularly to keep them looking fresh and “real.” If you want to deep-clean them, you can wash them in your sink with warm, soapy water. Move them around the sink to help loosen the dust. Then rinse the soapy water off your plants. Shake and remove any excess water with a soft towel. Let them stand upright to air-dry to ensure they don’t get any wrinkles or kinks.

Add Real Dirt

An easy way to make your faux plant look like the real deal is to add dirt into your pot or planter. Whether it is a small planter on a shelf or bar cart or a large potted tree, the dirt will make it look like a real plant. The best part? No watering necessary.

Funny thing for your working place

I like this levitating bulb. Good anti stress. And also works as small night light. Bulb still cold all the time. Magnetic base should be plugged in all the time, bcz without electricity bulb not levitating. It is led, so doesn’t use a lot of electricity. I think it’s important since you keep it plugged in whole month.

REAL LOOKING , they are worth the buy and do not have a shiny film over the leaves which gives it more of a real life like. My south facing house gives a lot of sun and real hydrangeas will not survive.
